Heart scarf and hat

Image
For our first month I thought Valentines projects would be fun. Let's start with a warm Hat and scarf set with a red heart on the scarf pocket. Perfect for this cold time of the year. Now im not going to go into the basic stitches. There are plenty of great teaching videos for crochet on YouTube. Just pick one that is comfortable for you if you have not crocheted before. Truthfully I have done it over 50 years and I don't even think about how to do it anymore. Just pick up a hook and start working so it would be hard for me to teach the basics. You will need 2 skeins of white Worsted weight 4 ply yarn and 1 red or whatever colors you want to use. My favorite yarn is Hobby Lobby's I love this yarn. It works up nicely and washes well to keep it's shape, but any yarn brand will work. Heart pocket scarf 70 inches long 5 inches wide J hook Ch 17 Hdc in 3rd ch from hook (15) Rep for 146 rows total Row 147 ch 1, SC acr *hint when crocheting long strip...

About my blog

Hi I am Teresa from the foothills of the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains in East Tennessee. I live with my husband who slso does some woodworking and a son who also does laser engraving and jewelry, and a very spoiled chihuahua.  In this blog I would like to share some unique craft patterns that I have designed and made myself and the patterns for you to try.  I love crochet and am the best at it, but we will explore some other crafts also. All the projects on here are for sale but I want to encourage you to make them for yourself, but i know life gets busy and if you see something you just really have to have i would be happy to make it and send it to you.  I also want to see your finished projects so please send me some pictures in the comments. I hope we have a lot of fun with this blog and share a lot of work and some trial and error mistakes to learn from too. Now let's get busy.........
